Albufeira will be holding its Hunting, Fishing, Tourism and Nature Fair at a new venue this year. Running from 7 to 9 July, the fair moves to the town’s marina, where visitors will be able to enjoy local gastronomy, handicrafts, music and popular rural pursuits.
A joint initiative between Albufeira City Council, the Algarve Federation of Hunters and Albufeira Marina, the 25th edition of this event is being held for a third consecutive year in Albufeira.
It will be inaugurated at 6.30pm on Friday (7 July), with visitors able to enjoy a cataplana tasting (typical Algarve dish), an equestrian show and a performance by D.A.M.A., a top pop band from Lisbon.
The fair will open at 7am on Saturday (8 July), with the day’s activities including a honey competition, a national sheep competition of the Churra Algarvia breed, and an evening performance by Miguel Gameiro and his legendary pop-rock band Polo Norte.
On the final day, Sunday, the fair enclosure will open at 11am, and the last show of the long weekend will be a concert by the dance music duo Némanus. The fair continues until 2am on the first two days and until 1am on the Sunday.
